PHD MENTORING DAY

Coordinated by Scientific Committee Director, Pablo Ruiz-Verdu (Universidad Carlos III de Madrid-Department of Business Administration), the PhD Mentoring Day will be held on July 6, 2022, one day prior to the start of the 29th Finance Forum. It will include:

  • Mentoring sessions: where our outstanding invited mentors will discuss the latest advances in research and offer career advice for the PhD students.
  • Parallel sessions: where a reduced number of PhD students will have the opportunity to present their work and receive feedback from our mentors, the members of the scientific committee and other guest scholars.

Christine Parlour

CHRISTINE PARLOUR

Professor at Berkeley Haas. Sylvan C. Coleman Chair in Finance and Accounting

Christine A. Parlour is the Sylvan C. Coleman Chair of Finance and Accounting at Berkeley Haas. Most of her work is in institutionally complex areas, such as market microstructure and banking. Her current work focuses on changes in the payments system and the effects on bank balance sheets. She has written for major finance and economics journals. She has been on the Nasdaq Economic Advisory Board and is currently on the steering committee for the New Special Study of Securities Markets.
